SHAFAQNA -A sister of Boston Marathon bombing suspect was arrested in New York City after authorities say she threatened to “put a bomb” on a woman. Ailina Tsarnaeva, of North Bergen, N.J., was charged with one count of aggravated harassment and release pending a hearing next month. Tsarnaeva already has been required to check in with Massachusetts probation officers after prosecutors said she refused to cooperate with a 2010 counterfeiting investigation. Police Lieutenant John Grimpel told the Boston Globe that the victim of Ailina Tsarnaeva’s alleged threat has a child with the father of one of Tsarnaev’s children. Tsarnaev, who is believed to be in her early 20s, is accused of telling the woman that “I have people that can go over there and put a bomb on you,” several media outlets reported. Her brother Dzhokhar, is awaiting trial on charges of building and planting the two pressure cooker bombs that exploded near the finish line of the marathon in April 2013. The blast killed three people and injuring more than 260 others. Dzhokhar Tasarnaev, who has pleaded not guilty, faces a possible death sentence if convicted of the crimes. Another brother, Tamerlan, died in a shootout with police outside Boston days after the attack. The brothers are also accused of fatally shooting MIT police officer Sean Collier. Tsarnaeva lives with a sister, Bella Tsarnaeva. The Globe reports that the sisters have visited their brother at the federal prison in Fort Devens in Ayer, Mass.
