SHAFAQNA – For a while one of the companions had been praised by others in the presence of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), until one day, they showed that person to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: He is the one who we praised. The Prophet (PBUH) looked at his face and said: I see a kind of darkness which is linked to Satan in him. That man came close and greeted the Prophet (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) said: Take an oath to God and tell me: Did you not think by yourself that; there is no one better than yourself among the companions? That companion replied: That is right, I thought that. In this way, and by prophetic vision, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) cautioned that companion about the sign of superiority complex to him, and made him aware that having such complex is not appropriate for the believer .
