The duty of the eldest son regarding the Salaats not performed by his deceased father/the Grand Ayatollah Khamenei’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about the duty of the eldest son regarding the Salaat not performed by his deceased father.

Question: If the eldest son who is responsible for the Salaats not performed by his deceased father dies, is the duty transferred to his eldest son or to the next son of the deceased father?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: The Salaats and days of fast which have not been performed by the deceased father is the Wajib duty of the eldest son, and with his death (the death of the eldest son) after the death of his father, is not Wajib (duty) for his son or his brother.
