Questions: 1. What is the ruling for being frightened by hearing thunder and lightening and is it Wajeb to perform Salaat of Ayaat in this situation?
2. If I am scared by the sound of thunder and lightening and for example tell my friends that it was a frightening sound and I became scared of the sound of thunder and lightening, is it Wajeb for all of us to perform Salaat of Ayaat or just for me?
The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz: 1. If the majority of people become frightened of thunder and lightening, Salaat of Ayaat is Wajeb.
2. Fear of some people will not make Salaat of Ayaat Wajeb.
