SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about selling wine to non-Muslims.
Question: If a Muslim person opens a hotel in a non-Islamic country, and is forced to sell some kinds of wine and Haram foods because the majority of the people in that country are Christians who drink wine with their food, and do not go to a hotel where wine is not served with food, and considering that the person intends to pay back all the income from Haram cases to the religious authority, is the person allowed to do this?
The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: There is no problem in opening hotel or eating place in non-Islamic countries, but selling wine and Haram foods are not allowed, even if the buyer consider them as Halal, and receiving money for them is not allowed even if the person (owner of the place) intends to pay back that money to the religious authority.

What gives Khamenei the right to tell people what they can and cannot eat and drink. Khamenei’s opinion is not worth a dime and he is a fascist repressive dictator who has destroyed his country and made his people poor. How dare he preach about wine to ordinary people. Any Muslim has the right to make up their own mind if they want to drink or not and should not be forced by a fascist failure like Khamenei to do anything.
