The Grand Ayatollah Mosavi: Muslims should combat extremist groups in a united front

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – In his meeting with Seyyed Ammar Hakim, the Head of Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, the Grand Ayatollah Mosavi Ardabili said: Muslims must unite and fight against extremist groups. He added: Today, extremism is not acceptable and it will not be accepted from any group or religious denomination. The Grand Ayatollah stressed: Islamic governments, especially the Iraqi government must respect the rights of all its citizens of different religions in order to establish harmony in the country. In this meeting, Ammar Hakim said: Formation of Da’esh in Islamic countries was a plot to combat Shia Islam. He added: Da’esh’s behaviour is like Khawarej and they are ruthless. Hakim stressed: with the help of the followers of all religions in Iraq, fight against extremists is continuing.
