The Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Rouhani answered a question about hearing music when performing Salaat

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Rouhani answered a question about hearing music which is considered as Qena (causing the state of rapture) at the time of performing Salaat.

Question: If outside the place of prayers, music which is considered as Qena is played and is heard by a person who is performing Salaat, will the Salaat be void (Batel) or not?

The Grand Ayatollah Rouhani: The Salaat will not be void but if there is no way to stop hearing (the music); it is allowed to void the Salaat and move away from that place.
