The Grand Ayatollah Vahid’s answer to a question about a child’s saying about uncleanliness of an object

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani answered a question about a child’s saying about uncleanliness of an object.

Question: If a child says an object is unclean (Najis), what is our duty; must we accept the child’s words?

The Grand Ayatollah Vahid: If a child says an object is unclean or has not been washed, the child’s words cannot be accepted; but if a child who is having and showing good judgment says I washed an object, on the condition that child is trusted, the child’s words are accepted and also if that child says an object is unclean.
