SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about Khoms.
Question: To whom Khoms must be given and where it must be spent?
The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: Half of the Khoms is the share of Saadaat which you can give yourself to poor Saadaat, and the other half is the share of the Imam (AS) which at present time must be given to learned Mojtahid or his representative, and for providing the essential needs of pious believers from the share of Imam (AS), permission must be obtained.
