Two Turkish Air Force fighter jets crash, 4 pilots killed

Two military fighter jets collided during a reconnaissance mission and crashed in eastern Turkey on Tuesday night, reported RY citing the Daily Sabah.

According to IRIB, Locals said they heard a loud bang and alerted officials. The Turkish interior minister said four pilots were confirmed dead.

Rescue teams, including a fire crew, ambulances and police were deployed to the crash site but heavy fog interrupted rescue efforts.

There was no further information on the cause of the incident, nor why the two jets crashed apparently simultaneously.

Each plane was reported to have been carrying a pilot and a co-pilot. There were no survivors.
