The value of knowledge and scholars in Islam

SHARE

SHAFAQNA – Imam Sadeq (AS) narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Whoever walks in a way in order to seek/attain knowledge/science, God will place him/her on a way towards paradise. And indeed, the angels will spread their wings with satisfaction and happiness on the ground for the seeker of knowledge; and whoever in the sky, and whoever and whatever on the earth, ask for forgiveness for the seeker of knowledge; even the fish in the sea. And the distinction between the learned and the religious/worshipping person is like the distinction between the moon and other stars on the 14th night of the month (when the moon is in full circle and with maximum light). And indeed, the scholars are inheritors of the prophets; and the prophets have not left any money as their inheritance, but they have left behind knowledge as their inheritance. Therefore, whoever learns from that (knowledge), will benefit from an abundant fortune [1].
