SHAFAQNA – The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has come to guide people and in this way he suffered a lot when he used to see some people did not believe and hence they will be trapped in hellfire. The suffering of the Prophet (PBUH) is explained in various holy verses of the Quran; for example Ayah 6 of Surah Al-Kahf says: “It is close that you lose your dear life with grief, if they do not believe in this message (Quran).” And Ayah 3 of Surah Al-Sho’ara says: “You fret your soul with grief that they do not become believers.”
The Prophet (PBUH) was so compassionate and sympathetic towards people to a point that God advised him not to be so much in distress. In this regard, Ayah 61 of Surah Al-Tawbah says: “Among them there are people who bother the Prophet (PBUH) and say: He is full of ear. Say, He listens to what is best for you; he believes in Allah (SWT), has faith in the believers, and is a mercy to those who believe. But those who bother the Prophet (PBUH) will have a grievous torment.”
