SHAFAQNA – When it is mentioned that Jihad of the soul (Jihaddu-Nafs) is the greatest Jihad, this is not a comparison or allegory, it is a reality, it is an inside alarm, a fight between the thought and the motive of the human being where (false) desire, lust and rage want one thing, but the practical wisdom wants another thing. This is a war. In this war, if (false) desire is victorious, then it will take wisdom as the captive; and as a consequence the wisdom which is the prisoner cannot do anything. Therefore, (in this situation) the individual becomes a person of the words and not deeds [1].
