SHAFAQNA – The reasons that the grave of the daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is hidden can be summarized in the following cases.
- The enemies and the usurpers of her rights could not access her grave, so that they do not find the opportunity to disrespect her grave.
- Lady Fatima Zahra (AS) wanted to be buried at night in order that her grave be hidden.
- Considering her will about the way she wanted to be buried; it can be said that by doing so, she wanted to awaken the public opinion and make people aware about the oppression of the rulers of the time towards Imam Ali (AS). In this way, she wanted this question to remain in people’s mind as to why her grave is hidden. Therefore, considering the above-mentioned cases, it becomes clear why her burial ceremony was conducted at night.
Until the last moments of her life, Lady Fatima Zahra (AS) never stopped supporting Imam Ali (AS) and showed her dissatisfaction against the allegiance breaking people of Medina by complaining about them whilst in her sickbed by saying: By God, I do not like your world and I detest your men, I tested them and I am dissatisfied with them. Curse is on these deceitful people; why they did not let the right (of Welayat of Imam Ali (AS)) be placed in its rightful place, and the Caliphate be solidified on the pillars of the prophethood [1-5]?
