Why the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was so popular?

SHAFAQNA – The Prophet of Islam was very popular and that was the reason people used to gather round him. He was very kind and seldom became angry. Ayah 159 of Surah Al-e-Imran describes the Prophet’s (PBUH) behaviour: “God’s mercy made you kind-hearted and tolerant towards people. If you had been harsh and cruel-hearted, they would have dispersed from around you. So when they do bad things to you out of ignorance, forgive them, ask forgiveness from God for them, and consult with them on the matter of war. By relying on God, carry out what you decide; Allah (SWT) loves those who rely on God (and will help them).”

Out of respect and politeness to people, the Prophet (PBUH) used to take part in (their) small and big tasks, visit everyone, used to eat with anyone even if the host was a slave. Anas ibn Malik narrated: The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) used to visit ill people, used to take part in funerals and used to accept the invitation of the slaves [1].
