SHAFAQNA- NASA is giving you the chance to send yourself to Mars. The trip won’t be half bad either, given you’ll be travelling via Orion, NASA’s brand-new spacecraft designed to take humans to space, the Moon, and Mars. So how do you get a boarding pass?

Getting your ticket is as simple as filling out a form. From there, your name will be placed onto a microchip and strapped into the Orion to be blasted into space between December 4 and 6, 2014. Just make sure you get it in before the cut-off date of October 31.

From there, your name will be with the Orion, via the microchip, on upcoming missions to Mars. Think of the frequent flyer miles you could accrue!

To submit your name for Orion’s flight test, click here. NASA has a range of information about Orion and its upcoming missions here, or on Wikipedia, here.

The first test flight is set to be a 4.5 hour, two-orbit mission around Earth to test Orion’s systems, travelling back through the atmosphere at speeds approaching 20,000 mph and temperatures near 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit, before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. From there, should tests go to plan, the Orion will complete yet more tests, before being sent to Mars.
