Zarif – Kerry talks end: two sides are seeking new initiatives.

Tehran, Feb 23, IRNA – Representatives of Iran and the United States discussed nuclear issues for two and a half hours in Geneva on Sunday evening.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali-Akbar Salehi, and US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz attended this round of discussions.

Deputies to Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi and US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman later attended the discussions.

High-ranking diplomats from France, Russia, Britain, Germany, China, and the European Union were also present in the discussions.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has already said the two sides are seeking new initiatives in the form of the negotiations to accelerate them.
