10 pct of increase in Iranian hand-woven carpet exports

SHAFAQNA- The exports of Iranian hand-woven carpet have increased 10% during the first 4 months of the current Iranian fiscal year, according to the head of the National Union of Cooperatives of Iran’s Carpet Manufacturers.

The head of the National Union of Cooperatives of Irans Carpet Manufacturers, Abdollah Bharami said, sanctions alone cannot affect on Iranian carpet market and the exports of that, Irna reported.

He added, “According to Iranian Customs statistics, the value of Iranian hand-woven carpet exports increased 20 percent during the first 4 months of the current Iranian fiscal year, comparing to the last year that the value was about $400 million”.

“On the average, we have saw 15 to 20 percent growth year by year,” he said.
