For over 11 days, the Jailed Bahraini minor unable to contact family

SHAFAQNA- ABNA: Hussein Al Rayes, the Jailed Bahraini minor, who has been taken to Bahrain’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) more than 11 days ago, is yet unable to make contact with his family.

Activists reported on Friday that Al Rayes had been moved suddenly from the kingdom’s Dry Dock Detention Center to the CID – a branch of Manama’s security apparatus notorious for questionable interrogation techniques that often amount to torture.

The youngster was jailed last April while visiting his brother in prison.

The number of Bahraini minors being imprisoned by Manama’s security services has risen substantially in recent years with rights groups warning that the children are being subjected to ill-treatemnt in detention.
