SHAFAQNA– The leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei describes Hajj as an example of the model Islamic Community and the manifestation of the new Islamic civilization.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who was meeting with the Iranian organizers of the 2019 Hajj and the staff of Iran’s hajj and Pilgrimage Organization said Dissociation from Polytheists is an Islamic duty and a unique opportunity at Hajj pilgrimage. He dismissed those who want to keep Hajj beyond politics, noting Hajj essentially is a political ritual.
Ayatollah Khamenei continued that in addition to political acts in Hajj there are also devil, apolitical thoughts that tell pilgrims not to protest against the United States.
He said the U.S. and other hegemonic powers hold deep animosity towards Islam and their violent political, social, cultural, economic and security attacks on Muslim nations prove the depth of their hostility.
The leader added that unity and expressing support for the innocent nations of Yemen and Palestine and dissociation from polytheists are all political moves and in line with the orders of Islam and for that reason, we insist the ceremony to be held in the best manner on yearly basis.
The Iranian leader said the Saudi government must respect the dignity of pilgrims and has an immense task of providing safety for them without imposing tight security measures on the religious rituals.
Further in his remarks, the ayatollah advised pilgrims from all over the world to take this unique and special opportunity and respect social, political and moral aspects of Hajj. Ayatollah Khamenei told the Iranian pilgrims to attend daily prayers in the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina along their Sunni brothers and sisters and behave in a way that would draw respect for their nationality, identity and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It is estimated that over 86 thousand Iranians will attend the 2019 Hajj ceremony in Saudi Arabia. They will start their journey from mid-July. The main rituals will start from early August.
