Who are the corrupt people according to the holy Quran?

SHAFAQNA – Corrupt is the one who openly adopts a behaviour which is known as transgressive. A corrupt person with transgressive behaviour cannot be trusted. From the point of view of the holy Quran, Noah’s tribe and followers of pharaohs are clear examples of the corrupt people; as mentioned in Ayah 46 of Surah Adh-Dhariat: “Before that God destroyed the people of Noah. They were a truly corrupt people.” And Ayah 54 of Surah Az-Zukhruf: “In this way he moved his people to accept and they obeyed him, they were corrupt tribe.” Obviously the words and promises of these type of people cannot be trusted.

Also those who overindulge in their inordinate desires, are considered as corrupt, as mentioned in Ayah 16 of Surah Al-Isra: “When God decides to destroy a town, God commands those corrupted by wealth (to reform), but they (persist in their) disobedience; God’s sentence is passed, and God destroys them utterly.” Clearly, such people have a philosophy in life which is based on disbelieving the hereafter and they do not believe in being accounted for on the Day of Judgement, as mentioned in Ayah 23 of Surah: “Yet no sooner does God saves them than, back on land, they behave outrageously against all that is right. People, your outrageous behaviour only works against yourselves. Take your little enjoyment in this present life; in the end you will return to God and God shall confront you with everything you have done.”
