SHFAQNA- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will visit Russia this week at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, the presidential office director for communications and information said on Sunday.
President Rouhani is to take part in the tripartite meeting with the Russian and Azerbaijani presidents, respectively Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, in Sochi on Wednesday, Parviz Esmaili said, according to IRNA.
Rouhani is to deliver a speech to the summit aiming to expand economic ties and regional cooperation.
President Rouhani is slated to meet Aliev and Putin separately, as well, to discuss the most important bilateral issues.
smaili added that besides the discussions at the meeting, the three presidents will make a joint statement on the development and continuation of trilateral cooperation in various economic spheres, azernews told.
A high-ranking political and economic mission will accompany President Rouhani.
