SHAFAQNA– Saudi Arabia for the first time in its history has used female staff in management of pilgrim affairs and guiding Hajj pilgrims in the holy sites of Mecca and Medina.
Women from Saudi Arabia and other Arabic countries helped in grouping and guiding the pilgrims during the stoning of the Devil in Jamarat. They were tasked with guiding groups of pilgrims to different sites during the annual Hajj pilgrimage and they helped other Muslims in various parts.
Some of these women also oversaw the health condition of pilgrimage sites.
