Sheikh Zakzaky returns to Nigeria +Video

SHAFAQNA- Sheikh Zakzaky has been denied medical treatment in India and he is returning back to Nigeria.

Sheikh Zakzaky and Mallimah Zeenah have stated they will return to Nigeria rather than continue to be harassed and denied the medical care they require in India.

Since the moment they arrived in India, Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife were treated like criminals. At the Indian hospital, they were not permitted to move freely and the couple were surrounded by armed officers. They were consistently denied access to their medical team, their lawyers and their advocates and friends.

Here is the statement from Sheikh Zakzaky issued hours ago from India.

Earlier yesterday, in a message issued by Sayyid Zakzaky official account on tweeter, Sheikh Zakzaky denied Nigerian government claims and said “The Nigerian Government told their Indian counterpart that I am a terrorist and my disease is unidentified”.

“We came here to take the bullets out, so how is it possible to pretend that the disease is unidentified? The problem is with the Nigerian Government, they lied to the hospital authorities,” he added.

An urgent #FreeZakzaky protest will be held today August 16, in London at 4pm.
