SHAFAQNA– Pakistan hails remarks made by Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei over the current situation in Kashmir.
Spokesman of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Faisal, in his weekly presser thanked the top Iranian leader for his comments about Indian-controlled Kashmir. The Pakistani official said Iran’s leader has always been a major supporter of Kashmiri people and Islamabad welcomes his stance on the current crisis.
Mohammed Faisal slammed India for its actions, adding that New Delhi refuses any mediation over Kashmir issue.
The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday August 22, expressed concern over the situation in Indian-controlled Kashmir two weeks after the Indian government ended special status and autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir. Ayatollah Khamenei said Tehran expects New Delhi to adopt a just policy towards the noble people of Kashmir and prevent the oppression of local Muslims of this region.
