SHAFAQNA- Alkafeel: On Friday morning the 21st of Dhu al-Hijjah 1440 AH corresponding to August 23, 2019, Al-Kafeel Women Radio of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the al-Abbas‘s (p) Holy Shrine, after years of continuous work in the media arena representing the free Zaynabi voice, celebrated its 12th anniversary.
The ceremony, which was attended by the Senior Official of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi and a number of its officials, as well as academics and media professionals, started by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Afterwards, His Eminence the Senior Official praised in his word the efforts of the staff of the Women Radio, urging them to continue their march.
The ceremony then continued by a documentary film featuring the continuous march of the radio over the previous years, followed by a consultative workshop in which the means of attracting adolescents to the committed media were discussed, and the family’s confidence and role in receiving information from the committed media instead of other media. This workshop was chaired by Dr. Abeer Al-Tamimi from the Holy Shrine.
On the sidelines of the event, Professor of Quranic Rhetoric at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ohood Abdel Wahed, said in an intervention:
“In line with the rapid developments in the media field and the requirements it imposes, we seek to provide tools targeting young people, to translate the high degree of confidence in future generations and the leading vision of the committed media sector.”
Adding: “The media is the effective tool in changing peoples, changing convictions and guiding them towards ideas, so the next stage, which will depend on a set of basic data to achieve this ambitious vision, requires serious work in order to provide a suitable environment to achieve the desired goal.”
The ceremony also included the participation of researchers and media professionals in a discussion about the media adolescence and how to make a media star from Muslim women, in addition to the answers to questions and queries raised through the workshop, to include a competition held by the radio. The ceremony concluded with the honor of the martyrs of the popular mobilization and security forces.
It is worth mentioning that the al-Kafeel Women Radio reflects the religious, social, cultural and educational spirit of Karbala, and provides a distinguished creative content of an Arabic/Islamic-oriented radio, with a renewed Iraqi character and identity.
