SHAFAQNA- Imam Ali: As a part of the activities of the eighth annual Ghadeer Festival, the Exhibition of Valuables, Manuscripts and Documents opened in the Mosque of Imran ibn Shahin, by the Secretary General of the Imam Ali (PBUH) Holy Shrine with the companion of the Deputy Secretary-General Radhwan Sahib and members of the Board of Directors Fatih Al-Kurmani and Talib al-Libawi .
The exhibition revealed a number of valuables that some of which are displayed for the first time, including a manuscript of the Quran written in the year 40 Hijri by the Commander of Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH).
The Secretary-General said in a statement to the News Center that what was presented in the exhibition is a small part of what the Alawi treasury contains. Moreover, he appreciated the efforts made by the employees of the Holy Shrine that helped make the festival successful.
“A group of carpets, rifles and some archaeological shields were displayed. They are as old as 100 to 250 years let alone the rare artifacts that date back a thousand years ago,” the head of the Valuables Division, Faris Hussein Karim, said.
