SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Makarem ^[1] answered a question about girls acting as suitors of boys.

Question: Can girls act as suitors of boys?

The Grand Ayatollah Makarem: In current conditions, not doing so is more appropriate and nearer to their modesty; but there is no religious obstacle if it becomes the tradition of a society that girls act as suitors of boys.
