What were the reasons for Imam Hussain’s (AS) uprising?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Hussain (AS) who said: O’ people, indeed the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: The one who sees a cruel ruler who is oppressing others and considers Haram of God as Halal and breaks his covenant with God, and disagrees with the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH), and acts corruptly and cruelly among the servants of God; and if such a person does not rise against that ruler by speech or action, it is appropriate that Allah (SWT) joins that person with the oppressing ruler (in the hereafter). Beware, these people (Omayyad dynasty) opted to obey Satan and abandoned obeying God; and acted corruptly openly, and abandoned Divine Limits, and stole the public purse, and considered God’s Haram as Halal and vice-versa; and I am more deserving than others to rise up to change this situation [1].
