What is the ruling on setting a fee by a eulogist for mourning ceremony? The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz answered a question about setting fees for mourning ceremony (Maatam) by a eulogist (Maddah).

Question: What is the ruling on setting a fee for religious programmes, Moludi, and mourning ceremony?

The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz: There is no problem religiously; although it is not appropriate to set conditions and raise cases such as financial ones for programmes of Ahlul Bait (AS) whom Shia Muslims have attained their religion because of their sacrifices, and whatever is done to commemorate them is not enough.
