SHAFAQNA- Imam Hussain: According to the Imam Hussein Digital Media Foundation, a pilgrimage by proxy to Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him) is available on the Day of Ashura (10th of Muharram).
For those who are inside or outside Iraq but can’t reach the Imam Hussain Shrine, especially the soldiers and paramilitaries in the Iraqi army and popular mobilization forces should register their names, and Imam Hussein Digital Media Foundation will perform a pilgrimage on behalf of you.
Director of the foundation Wela’ EsSeffar said, “In cooperation with officials from the Imam Hussain Shrine, the staff of Imam Hussein Digital Media Foundation will receive the applicants’ requests and perform a pilgrimage and a supplication on behalf of them.”
EsSeffar added that anyone can send their name or their loved ones’ names—living or dead— to the official website, and a pilgrimage will be made on behalf of them.
He indicated that the deadline for receiving the pilgrimage-by-proxy requests is at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
