SHAFAQNA– The Islamic Center of England (ICE) has been staging 10 nights of mourning processions for the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.).
The events that started on September 1 will continue until the Day of Ashura, September 10. The speeches are delivered in four languages of English, Farsi, Urdu and Arabic.
Shia and Sunni Muslims from Great London, its suburbs and nearby cities attend the majalis where Seyed Hashim al-Mousawi, the representative of Iran’s leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in Britain, addresses the crowds in Farsi. His speeches titled “Lessons from Imam Hussein’s movement and his goals to protect Islam”.
Australian-based cleric Sheikh Jihad Ismail address the attendees in English where he talks about “Lessons from Ashura school of thought”.
Prominent Shia scholar from Ireland Seyed Salih Ali al-Husseini addresses Arab brothers and sisters in Arabic about “Lessons from Husseini movement” and US-based Sheikh Amir Mokhtar Faezi speaks about Urdu-spoken guests. His remarks are about the “uprising of Imam Hussein”.
Husseini Kids Workshops are also underway every night at the Islamic Center of England where kids are thought the history of Islam and painting about the Ashura and Imam Hussein.
