An old photo of Ashura ceremony in Peshawar, Pakistan

SHAFAQNA- Shiites from India and Pakistan have been trying for centuries to keep the mourning rituals of martyrs of Imam Hussein (AS) alive. The Shiite traditions of these two countries, which were generally influenced by Iran, continued to this day. Ta’ziyah ceremony of the event of Ashura is one of these ancient rituals.

In the following photo, you can see an old image of the mourning ceremony for the Day of Ashura in Peshawar, Pakistan in the year 1834AH.
