SHAFAQNA- Iqna: A Taziyeh performance featuring the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) was held in Tabriz, northwest Iran, earlier this week.
Taziyeh is a kind of passion play telling the story of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
Taziyeh performances are held across Iran during the lunar Hijri month of Muharram to commemorate the bravery of the third Imam (AS) and his companions.
