SHAFAQNA- The newly-appointed secretary General of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly has made separate meeting with senior Iranian maraji in Qom.
Ayatollah Reza Ramazani paid a visit to Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani, Ayatollah Ja’afar Sobhani, Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi and Grand Ayatollah Lotfullah Safi Golpaygani.
Ayatollah Sobhani congratulated Ayatollah Ramazani for being appointed as the new secretary general of the association and said the Ahlul Bayt of the Prophet Mohammed are popular in every part of the Islamic World.
Ayatollah Sobhani explained that the Ahlul Bayt includes 12 Shia Imams and the Prophet Mohammed’s revered daughter Sayeda Fatima Zahra and nobody could tarnish their faces throughout the history.
The new secretary general of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly said the organization is a mediator between the Shia maraji and the Shia communities of the world. He added he and his colleagues would do whatever they could to serve the Ahlul Bayt. He said introducing a rational version of Islam is the new mission of the World Assembly with that spirituality and justice as the two main subjects, which the world is eager to hear about.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi meanwhile advised the new head of World Assembly to use his previous experiences in Europe and in dealing with Muslim communities and create a think-tank for the goodness of all Muslims.
Ayatollah Reza Ramezani for his turn explained some of his record for the Shia maraji that include: Establishing offices of the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly in 80 countries, creating links with 110 Non-governmental organizations worldwide, establishing links with more than 3,000 local Shia missioners, translation and publishcation of 2000 Islamic books in 58 languages and creating internet websites such as ABAN news Agency and Wiki Shia.
