How to gain the trust of others?

SHAFAQNA – When people around the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) did not behave correctly towards a desert Arab, the Prophet (PBUH) admonished them and by giving gifts to that person made him satisfied and told the companions: The example of this Arab person and me is like the one whose camel ran away and to help him, individuals are following the camel to bring it back, but their efforts have caused the camel to panic and escape further away. That is why the owner of the camel shouted at them to leave the camel, and telling them I know how to return the camel. Then the owner got a bunch of grass and went towards the camel and controlled it. Then the Prophet (PBUH) added: If I would have left you, you could have killed that desert Arab [1].
