SHAFAQNA- Iqna: An Omani official announced about his country’s plan of building 14 new mosques.
Habib Bin Mohammad al-Riyami, head of the Sultan Qaboos Supreme Center for Culture and Sciences, said the mosques will be built in different provinces of the country.
He added that the move comes in line with Sultan Qaboos’ attention to promoting religious observances and activities.
The Sultanate of Oman is an Arab country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia.
Vitually all Omanis are Muslim, the majority of them adhering to the Ibadi sect.
