Why visiting ill persons and helping them is so important?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated that one day Imam Hussain (AS) visited an ill person by the name of Osama Ibn Zaid who owed money. He was complaining and repeatedly was saying: Oh, what a misfortune! Imam Hussain (AS) asked: What is wrong? Osama replied: I am in debt, I owe sixty thousand dirham, and the pain of this debt has spread in me. Imam Hussain (AS) said: Do not worry; I will pay your debt. Osama said: I fear to die before paying my debt. Imam (AS) said: I will pay your debt before your death, and Imam Hussain (AS) paid all his debt before Osama passed away [1].
