What will happen to those who did not help Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala?

SHAFAQNA – At the time of the Caliphate of Imam Ali (AS) one of the Muslims by the name of Harthamah Ibn Salim who was an indifferent person and did not believe in the lofty status of Imam Ali (AS), had a righteous and knowledgeable wife who was a follower of Imam Ali (AS). Harthamah said: I was with Imam Ali (AS) when we were going from Kufah to Saffayn front. When we reached to the land of Karbala, it was time for Salaat, and we performed Salaat with Imam Ali (AS) leading the prayer. After Salaat, Imam Ali (AS) picked some soil of Karbala and smelt it and said: Wonder about this soil, a group will rise from it who will enter heaven without any accountability. We went o Saffayn front and then I returned home and told my wife who was a follower of Ali (AS): I want to tell you something about your friend Abol Hassan, and then I described what happened, and then I said: Ali (AS) claims to know about the unseen.

My wife told me: Stop being picky, whatever Ali (AS) says it is the truth. Harthamah said: I was doubting what Imam Ali (AS) said until during the event of Karbala and when the forces of Ibn Ziad moved towards Karbala to fight Imam Hussain (AS). I was in the army of Omar Saad going to Karbala and there I remembered what Imam Ali (AS) said which it really was the truth. That is why I felt uncomfortable to help the army of Omar Saad and in a suitable time mounted my horse and moved towards Hussain (AS) and reminded him the narration (Hadith) from his father. Imam Hussain (AS) asked: Are you of those who agree with us or not? I replied: Neither of them, at the moment I think about my family. Imam Hussain (AS) said: Then, move away from here fast, because the one who is present here and hears our voice, but does not help us, will enter the hellfire. In that sensitive point, the unprosperous Harthamah chose the indifferent path and escaped that land fast in order to protect his life [1].
