SHAFAQNA– The Grand Mufti of Egypt urges Muslims not to allow terrorist and extremist groups to misuse their differences in Fiqh as a tool to defame Islam.
Shawki Allam who was addressing the fifth international conference on “Managing Jurisprudential Differences” described Fiqh and the approaches which various Islamic schools of thought took towards it, as an efficient instrument for promoting a system that allows Islamic jurisprudence and Fatwa to contribute to the contemporary civilization as well as the entire humanity.
Delegates from 85 countries have attended the two-day conference in Cairo. A number of training and interactive workshops were held on the sidelines of the conference. The get-together planned to unveil a number of initiatives and enable researchers to manage juristic differences.
