Photos: China’s Huasi Mosque

SHAFAQNA- Iqna: Located in Linxia, China’s Gansu Province, the Huasi Mosque was built during the reign of the Chenghua Emperor in the Ming dynasty (15th century).

It was constructed by Muslims living in West Phoenix Wood Town, now the Bafang areas of Linxia City, Gansu. A conflict in Gansu in 1930 led to a blaze that destroyed the building. It was capable of holding 2,000 people after reconstruction in 1941.
