When will the father’s permission be invalid for his daughter’s marriage? The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz answered a question about a father’s permission for his daughter’s marriage.

Question: In what condition the father’s permission is invalid for his daughter’s marriage?

The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz: If the daughter needs to marry and the father prohibits her marrying anyone (including religious individuals and those with the same standard of living), father’s permission is invalid; and the daughter can marry any person. Of course in any case, it is better this is done with the father’s permission.
