What was Imam Hassan Askari’s (AS) recommendations to his followers?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Hassan Askari (AS) who said: I commend to you Divine Piety, righteousness in your religion, Jihad in the way of Allah (SWT), and return to its owner whatever others given to you to keep in trust, whether they are righteous or not, prolong prostration (in Salaat), and be good neighbours; as the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) came for these commands. Take part in congregational prays of other tribes (and denominations), as well as their funeral processions, and visit their sick ones, and pay their rights. Indeed, anyone who is righteous in his/her religion, and tells the truth, and is trustworthy with good temper, people will say: This person is Shia, and this makes me happy.

Fear Allah (SWT) and be our (the Ahlul Bait (AS)) ornaments and do not shame us. Attract friendship toward us and repel ugliness from us, as whatever good is said about us we deserve it, and whatever bad is said about us we are not like that. We have a right in the book of God, and we are related to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Allah (SWT) made us (the Ahlul Bait (AS)) pure; and no one else can claim this except the liar. Remember God and death a lot, and recite the holy Quran and send greetings to the Prophet (PBUH) a lot as sending greetings to the Prophet of Allah (SWT) has ten rewards [1].
