Anatomy of a Donald Trump supporter: Kill all muslims, bully everyone in sight

SHAFAQNA – There seems to be no end to the controversies surrounding 2016 presidential hopeful, Donald Trump. At a recent rally in Massachusetts, Trump fat-shamed one of the protesters – identified only as Sam – calling him “overweight” and had him kicked out by a group of supporters.

However, Sam’s experience sheds light on a disturbing trend among Trump supporters. Sam shared his observations of being among the crowd gathered at the Republican candidate’s rally with INSIDER, and they are rather unpleasant.

“I actually got inside early. While I was waiting for it to start, I listened to these four guys in the row behind me,” Sam narrated. “This one guy in particular was saying; he kept referring to this one Indian teenager further down the row as ISIS,” he shared.

“And this kid was hearing him say these awful racial slurs.” “The teenager snaps and says, ‘hey, f*** you!’ And then they stick the cops on this Indian teenager. And they take him aside and intimidate him,” Sam described.

Racism and Islamophobia are a defining and worrying trait among a large number of Trump supporters-fuelled further by Trump who has in the past also urged his followers to attack peaceful protesters at his rallies, including a Muslim woman and Sikh man.

One might say his followers are mimicking the leader himself, which in itself is concerning considering the man, recently, came close to saying that Muslims should be shot with a bullet dipped in pig’s blood.

“The psychology of his supporters is they will drive a tank through an orphanage if they think they’re morally justified in doing so. And that terrifies me,” Sam commented.

“Some of the things the dude behind me said-‘kill all Muslims’, ‘I wish I had my piece on me, dude I want to kill someone so bad’,” Sam added. In fact, Sam hadn’t intended on protesting. He was there out of sheer intrigue. However, he couldn’t help feel outraged when the audience cheered over the idea of killing Sgt Bowe Bergdahl-a prisoner of war who was recently rescued from the Taliban in exchange for five convicts, and some believe is a traitor to the US army.

People cheered as Trump said, with little nuance, “What do we do with Sgt Bergdahl 50 years ago? That’s right. Boom. Boom. Boom. He’s gone!” But Sam raised his voice when Trump touched upon the subject of unemployment and food stamps, prompting Trump to call him fat.

“You know, it’s amazing. I mention food stamps and that guy who’s seriously overweight went crazy,” Trump said, mocking Sam as yet another protester was escorted out of the venue amidst a booing crowd of Trump supporters.
