Syria: 500 displaced people return to their town in southern Hama

SHAFAQNA – Some 115 displaced families have returned to their town Hor Binafso in the southern countryside of Hama province.

Governor of Hama Ghassan Khalaf said that the number of those who returned today to their homes reached 500 people, including men, women and children.

Two vehicles laden with food and relief supplies and two water tankers entered the town to meet the returnees’ immediate needs, the governor noted.

He added that electricity and water network maintenance teams have already been deployed to repair and fix the damaged infrastructure and put power and water networks back into service.

Efforts will continue to ensure the return of all the locals of the town who want to go back to their homes within the framework of a local reconciliation in the area.
