SHAFAQNA- Seyyed Ammar Hakim Leader of the National Wisdom Movement in Iraq, called for an end to the international coalition’s mission in Iraq during a meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
According to Shafaqna, citing the media office of the Hakim Movement in Iran, Hakim discussed political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and nations, in a meeting with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
During this meeting, which took place during the leader of the National Wisdom Movement’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Hakim stressed the importance of further expanding relations between Arab and Islamic countries with Iraq.
Both sides also emphasized the strengthening of cooperation among regional countries, noting that Iraq’s stability has had a positive impact on regional security.
The Leader of the National Wisdom Movement in Iraq also called for taking advantage of opportunities that Iraq presents in areas of development and construction, urging Saudi Arabia to participate in Iraq’s development initiatives.
He also called for the implementation of a Security Council resolution to halt the war in Gaza and provide assistance to refugees and reconstruct Gaza.
Hakim further emphasized the importance of continuing dialogues among regional forces and Iraq’s desire to end the international coalition’s mission in fighting ISIS/Daesh. He said Iraq seeks to transition to bilateral relations with some coalition member countries based on mutual interests and respect for their territorial sovereignty.
The Leader of the National Wisdom Movement in Iraq also called for the exchange of experiences in Arab and Islamic societies in combating environmental challenges and foreign ideologies, emphasizing the importance of social and religious dialogue to create a common approach in dealing with these ideologies.
