WFP faces massive budget crisis in Afghanistan

Shafaqna English- The World Food Program (WFP)  faces a “massive funding crisis” to continue its operations in Afghanistan.

The organization told the media that it needs $600 million dollars to advance its activities in the next 6 months.

Based on a statement, the damages caused by the recent devastating floods in more than 10 provinces of Afghanistan require more urgent assistance.

The World Food Program has also said that it is currently distributing food packages to 125,000 flood victims on a monthly basis.
