Shafaqna English- On Tuesday (16 July 2024), the French Football Federation (FFF) announced that it plans to file a complaint with FIFA regarding racist chants made by members of the Argentinian national team after their win at the Copa America tournament on Sunday, reported by Anadolu Ajansı.
It stated that: “Faced with the seriousness of these shocking remarks, contrary to the values of sport and human rights, the president of the FFF decided to directly challenge his Argentine counterpart and FIFA and to file a legal complaint for insulting remarks of a racial and discriminatory nature.”
In an Instagram video from the team’s bus, Argentine players can be observed singing a disrespectful chant about the birthplaces of France footballers after their win against Colombia in Miami.
