Olympics 2024: Bronze for Iran in female taekwondo

Shafaqna English- According to Mehr News, Mobina Nematzadeh, an Iranian female taekwondo athlete, secured a bronze medal in the 49-kg division during the Paris Olympics after defeating Dunya Abutaleb of Saudi Arabia with a score of 2-0.

The 19-year-old girl’s medal marked the second medal ever earned by Iranian women in the history of the Olympics.

In the ongoing Paris Olympics, Iranian athletes have earned a total of three medals, including two bronze medals and one gold. Additionally, two Iranian wrestlers have qualified for the final match, presenting Iran with the opportunity to increase its medal count by two tomorrow.
