Shafaqna English– In Kabul, many internally displaced families are voicing concerns about the lack of shelter, schools, jobs, and healthcare services.
These families live in areas where they have been displaced due to war, insecurity, or drought. Some of their main issues include the lack of electricity, clean water, schools, mosques, and hospitals.
Ajab Gul, an internally displaced person from Kandahar, says: “In a place like this, even animals cannot survive; but we are forced to live here because we have nowhere else to go. When it rains, we face many problems. We were displaced from our areas, and the government is not helping us.”
Around these homes, children play barefoot in the dirt and stones. Many children are deprived of education due to the distance from schools, while others are unable to attend due to economic hardships.
